There are many reasons for someone to seek out counseling for issues that need to be resolved or to make a situation more positive and proactive. Areas of concern include: anxiety, depression, mood disorders,behavioral and/or chemical addictions, emotional issues relating to self esteem and body image, grief/loss,survivor of sexual abuse,trauma,adult children of alcoholics,alcoholism,managing anger,personal growth and development,spirituality,women's issues, gay & lesbian development.
Marital/Couple/Premarital Counseling
Sometimes a couple needs to come and talk with someone who is unbiased and can help with conflict resolution and enriching their relationship. Everyone has different expectations and perceptions of their relationship,with insight and increased awareness,positive changes can be made to enhance the relationship.
Family Counseling
In our day and age, extra support is needed to provide a healthy living environment for our families. Many times, families need an outside person to help them through difficult emotional and behavioral episodes that effect the family. Areas of concern may include: teen issues,ADHD,behavioral problems,addictions,trauma,communication difficulties,depression,abuse,divorce.
Children
A safe environment is created for children to explore areas of their lives that need to be communicated but they may have difficulty doing so. Therapy modalities include expressive, art and other types of play therapy. Issues include: adoption,divorce,trauma,anxiety,depression,mood disorders,ADHD,behavioral difficulties.
Groups
The therapeutic process can be enhanced in a group setting. Also, group sessions provides an economical way to use therapy at a cost advantage.
Current groups that are on going include addiction/recovery, women's empowerment groups and divorce groups for children.
